Meet Velvet, a resilient and spirited 4-year-old terrier mix who embodies strength and perseverance. Weighing in at a healthy 45lbs, Velvet has overcome quite a bit in her young life. After an eye removal surgery, followed by a pyometra surgery, she’s proven just how tough she truly is. Though these procedures could have been daunting for many, Velvet faced them with remarkable courage and has come out on the other side even stronger.

Her zest for life is undeniable—whether it’s playtime in the yard or snuggling up on the couch, Velvet greets every day with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. Her journey has made her even more endearing to those who know her, and she is now a testament to resilience and the power of healing.

Velvet is the perfect combination of sweetness and spunk. She loves being around her people and is always ready for an adventure, whether it’s exploring the outdoors or just lounging in the sun. She’s a true fighter with a heart as big as her personality, and no matter what life throws her way, Velvet handles it with grace and joy.
