Hi everyone!

My name is Ralphie, but you might remember me as Mowgli from my time at Paws Place Dog Rescue! I’m back, but don’t worry, it’s not because I did anything wrong! We all thought I’d be a tiny guy, but surprise! I had some growing to do! Sometimes things don’t happen as we expect them to and that’s okay.

My previous owner even had a DNA test done, and I’m quite the mix! I’m 25% Australian Cattle Dog, 21% American Pit Bull Terrier, 14% Chihuahua, 7% American Staffordshire Terrier, 5% each Dachshund and Labrador Retriever, 4% each Belgian Malinois and Australian Shepherd, 3% each Boxer and German Shepherd, plus a few other breeds.

I’m a busy boy with plenty of energy, so I’m looking for an experienced adopter who has previously owned or has experience with herding and/or working breeds and understands their needs for structure, training, and an active lifestyle. I need a home with no children under 16. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but I could also do well in a quiet neighborhood. Apartments are a no-go for me because busy environments can be stressful!

What do I love? Toys, tug-of-war, chasing my herding ball, and showing off my training skills! I’m eager to please and a smart cookie. I can be a little nervous in new environments, but I gain confidence quickly with my person by my side. And after all that activity, I’m happy to snuggle on the couch or curl up in bed for the night!

I’ve recently completed my training and am currently living in a foster home with my wonderful trainer. Now I’m ready to find my person, someone who understands me and is excited to keep me learning and thriving!
