Gus is a lovable 4 year old, 43 pound Hound mix with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. Gus is hoping to spend his days surrounded by the kind of patience, comfort, and kindness that help him truly shine.

Gus has completed his heartworm treatment right here at Paws Place Dog Rescue.

Gus would love a patient person who will let him come closer on his own terms and show him that he is safe. Once that trust is built, you will get to see more and more of the sweet, goofy boy underneath.

Gus is looking for a peaceful place where he can take life at his own pace, enjoy soft beds, gentle affection, relaxing walks when he is cleared for activity, and plenty of time to build a special bond with his person.

Gus would do best in a home with children ages 16 and older who can give him the patience and gentle approach he needs to feel comfortable.

Gus may need a little patience in the beginning, but we think the trust he gives back will be worth every moment. If you are looking for a loyal companion to share the last days of summer and all the seasons ahead, Gus could be your perfect match.
